Anna Powick 2025 KDSHF Achievement Award recipient

KYC’s very own Anna Powick won the 2025 Kingston and District Sports Hall of Fame Achievement Award, in place to recognize and reward combined academic and athletic achievements and to encourage the advancement of education by providing financial assistance for future education.  Throughout her studies at Frontenac Secondary School, Anna found success in sailing at the national youth level, on the ice playing for the U18AA Kingston Ice Wolves and numerous sports teams, including ultimate, swimming (OFSAA), hockey and field hockey. She graduated with a very high « 90s average », and is now studying engineering at Queen’s.

Anna could not be at the awards ceremony held on October 11th at Slush Puppy Place as she was competing with the Queen’s Sailing Team racing IC37s in New York City. Proud dad, Kevin Powick, accepted the award on her behalf.  More details on the award https://kdshf.ca/achievement-award/
