What is a Sock Burner?
What in the hootenanny is a sockburner you ask?  It is a symbolic welcoming of the sailing season by "burning" of the winterworn socks that are no longer needed now that the warm weather is upon us.

Home Based Housing
Home Base Housing is one of the largest nonprofits in Kingston doing work to provide support and services for adults and youth. Right now, Home Base Housing is in the process of building a youth residence in Kingston that will have over 30 supportive apartments for vulnerable youth. .
