| Junior Sailing is looking for your old computer and TV equipment!

Junior Sailing is looking for donation of old computer and TV equipment to help them with delivery of programming. We can make use of the following equipment:

-Apple TVs
-iPads
-Android Tablets
-Macbooks
-Mac Desktops
-Flat screen computer monitors
-Flat screen televisions
-Windows Laptops (must be Windows Professional 7 or higher)
-Windows Desktops (must be Windows Professional 7 or higher)

Kingston's Maritime Heritage Speaker Series 2018


Kingston Yacht Club and the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes are partnering with local experts to present members and the general public with a series of entertaining glimpses into the unique and impressive maritime heritage of our city and the region. In 2018 this will include five evening lectures at KYC:

March: 21: Maurice Smith - Garden Island: local historian will talk about the enormous significance of D.D. Calvin and Garden Island to Kingston.

April 4: Maurice Smith - Kingston Shipyards: local historian will talk about the long and storied history of Kingston Shipyards, former home of the Museum.

| Queen's Sailing Team Fundraising Campaign

Ryan and Carolyn Heath are getting up to speed on the Cruising Fleet's history and plans and are looking forward to working with fellow cruisers to organize & deliver some great events this summer. They will be reaching out to cruisers who have helped in the past and others who might be interested in helping out this year.

A large number of Dragon Force DF65 radio controlled sailboats to be hitting our shores in the near future. The DF65 fleet is starting to grow. A DF65 sailboat, including rig & sails, plus a handheld radio controller currently sell for $260 at Leading Edge Hobbies. Racing is planned to start the 2nd week in May after keelboat launch. For details on any of the preceding, contact Paul Switzer or John Lowther.

Details about the Spring Sailors Evening on Wed April 11 @ 7-9 pm will be forthcoming soon. Please mark the date in your calendar now. We plan to release the online version of the Sailors Handbook before the meeting and distribute printed copies at the meeting.
