If that individual decides to JOIN KYC for this year the Sponsor (you) will be entered in a draw for a free 2017 membership!

Please do not hesitate to contact Greg McNab manager@kingstonyachtclub.ca or by phone 613.548.3052 for more information or to set up a time so Greg can meet your guest and tell them more about the Club and our programs!

We also encourage all members to stop by for an appetizer, lunch or dinner! We have great daily specials which you can find on the website! Also do not forget about our Tuesday wine and apps specials or our Wednesday/Thursday Burger and Beer Specials!

Dining

| February & March: Beau's Febrewary

Each week, every Febrewary beer purchased will get you a ticket for a weekly draw for a Beau's scarf. The first draw for a scarf will take place this coming Friday, and you have to be here to win. Once all the Febrewary beer is gone there will be a grand prize draw for a beautiful Beau's branded wooden crate filled with 12 different Beau's beers.

KYC will be bringing in a new beer from Beau's All Natural Brewing each Friday in March. This year Chef Neil will be preparing a delicious special to go with each beer. Make sure you come to your club to try these exciting beer and food pairings! Check out all of the beers here: http://beaus.ca/febrewary/

| Weekly Features

  • This week’s Febrewary Feature is a Koru, Orange and Fennel Mussels. Mussels and beer are a classic pairing for Belgian style beers, such as this week’s Koru Belgian Pale Ale. The orange and Fennel will highlight different flavours of the beer.
  • Every Tuesday: Appetizer + 1/2 pint of beer or small glass of wine - $15
  • Every Wednesday/Thursday: Burger and a Beer - $15
    • Beef burger topped with jalapenos and cheddar
    • Beef burger topped with peameal bacon, brie and caramelized onions

| Weekend Features

Dinner:
  • 10oz Enright Cattle Company Ribeye with a horseradish and caramelized onion jus, celeriac mash and sautéed broccoli.
Brunch:
  • Brunch Special: Heuvos rancheros.
  • Weekend Quiche: Ham & swiss.
  • Pancake Feature: Banana pancakes.

| Featured Beer

We still have some of the last Febrewary release, which is the Koru Belgian-Style Pale Ale. More sessionable than traditional Belgian styles of beer, Koru has a balanced fruity and floral hop character, which is complemented by peppery, spicy notes of Belgian yeast. Koru pours a deep gold with a frothy white head. Once it is gone, we will be drawing for 5 beau’s scarves and the grand prize of a beautiful Beau’s branded wooden crate filled with 12 different Beau’s beers. Stay tuned to the knotmeter to find out if you won!

We are also happy to announce that we have added a new tap to the bar pouring Mill St. Brewery’s Organic Lager. This is a light, European-style lager with a light, crisp and refreshing flavour with a clean finish.

Annual Cruisers' Dinner

Last Thursday evening, the Cruising Fleet enjoyed their Annual Dinner and Awards Night upstairs. A first rate meal was served by Chef Neil and his staff, with wonderful support from James Walton and event organizer Paul Young. Highlights of the evening included presentation of the Brass Winch Award to Steve Ginsberg and Rheni Tauchid by Cruising Fleet Co-Captains May Corcoran and Peter Fedora. Our guest speaker was Mike Hill, who gave us a most informative multi-media presentation on diving our local wrecks, including those from the War of 1812 and some stunning underwater imagery of their recent dives of the Japanese Fleet sunk at Truk Atoll. Our thanks to all who attended and made this evening a success.

The version you are looking at is very closely related to what he sketched last summer. We at KYC are fortunate that Brad has all of our interests at heart!
