RS21

We are thrilled to announce a new way to experience keelboat racing at our club. This program is designed for those who love the idea of showing up on a Tuesday or Thursday evening, stepping onto a boat, and going racing.

Racing Without the Headaches This is keelboat racing without the headaches of ownership. No bottom to paint, no mooring fees to pay, and no lines to check when a storm approaches. Forget chasing down crew over text messages; simply show up, rig, sail, debrief, and go home.

Community and Connection At its heart, this program is about being part of a group of sailors sharing boats, sharing experiences, and sharing the dock afterwards. It’s an opportunity to meet new people and sail with a variety of crew members. You’ll have the chance to pick up tips from seasoned sailors and pass your own knowledge on to those newer to the sport.

The Craft of the Race This program is for sailors who respect the sport and its rules. It’s a place for those who want to understand how the rules work—not just to avoid penalties, but to use them strategically and tactically. The RS21 club racing program is where you can practice the craft of racing in a fast, fair, and identical fleet.

What This Program Is (and Isn't) To be clear: this isn't about collecting silverware or chasing season points. If that is what drives you, there are other wonderful paths at this club. This program is for those who want to have fun. It’s about racing hard when the gun goes and laughing about it at the bar afterward with good people.
